Nokian Hakkapeliitta Lt Tires
I just had 4 Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT 265-70-17, Load Range E, mounted on my 03 Ram. Yesterday after mounting I had to drive 75 interstate miles home. Then today I drove 230 miles on conventional highways. So far, they are an incredible tire. I replaced 4 original Michelin summer tires that were down to 5/32" of tread.

The First thing I noticed was how much the ride comfort was improved, difference in night and day. We only had about 2 inches of snow last night, so I can not comment on snow use. Since mounting the Nokian's, my overhead MPG is showing an increase of 2.4 mpg. I know its not real accurate, but if I am getting even half of what the display shows, I am happy. The fuel in the tank is the same load as pre Nokian's.

The other remarkable thing is stability. The entire truck feels more stable on the road. On the way home today, on a 2 lane secondary high, some Nummie crosses the line coming toward me, very close. I had to do a quick swerve to avoid him.
My mind flashed what is going to happen with these tires. The truck swerved like a rat running in a pipe. The tires handled the swerve beautiful. I am sold on the Nokians. Unless some unknown event happens, in the spring I will shoe my Ram with Nokian summer tires. Not cheap, $195 each mounted and balanced.
