New Tires for 3500 SRW

Starting to look for new tires and I'm sure this question has been answered a thousand times here, but here goes.
Need new tires soon for me truck. 2004.5 3500 single axle.
Don't want a real aggressive tread as most 90% of my driving is on the highway.
I'd like to be able to fill out the wheel wells a little, but don't want too big a tire that will cause ABS light to come on or cause issues with the speedometer being grossly offset.
I have the stock rims (chrome).
I was at Costco and the guy there said I definitely needed H series tires because they were heavy duty. Right now I'm not towing/hauling anything heavy, but might be putting a camper on the truck in the next few years.
Any recommendations would help. Do I need new rims? Can I keep what I have and put a bigger tire on? If so what size and brand?
