Will '06 and earlier tail lights work in an '07?

I want to put a set of '06 and earlier tail lights in my '07. Obviously they will fit the bed. Will the '07 light plugs plug into the '06 tail light and work correctly? The '07 has one less stop/driving bulb. The '06 has a setup that only one bulb works as turn signal and the lower bulb works as the stop light.

Anybody done this??? I don't like the '07 tail ilights
