Mag Hy-Tec Cover Issues...

Had the steering update done on my truck... While installing, the dealership called to say that it wouldn't fit with my Mag Hy-Tec differential cover... I had to take my old cover up and let them change it out...
Has anybody else had this interference issue??? Does Hy-Tec make a different cover for use with the steering update?? I'm thinking of taking it to a machine shop and having them mill the cooling fins off of the right hand side..
The tech doing the work said that the mounting point for the new steering damper was where it was hitting. ..
