17" tires

Having limited results looking for slightly larger tires for a prospective '03. Always liked BFG 285/75 - 16's on my older trucks, but don't see much in that size for 17" wheels. BFG has their mud t/a in that size, but I don't like the growl. And 315's sound too big and tall for a guy my age! Any suggestions?

Still slowly getting used to the smaller shoulder room in the new quad cab...
