Fuel Filler Neck

Was filling up with fuel yesterday and stopped by the truck island to use their pumps. You can not get the pump nozzel completely in the filler neck because of a tube (vent I guess?) about a inch down. You can still fill tank, just have to hold the handle. Now what was DC thinking??? "hey we'll make the filler neck big enough so they can use the large handles, but let's make them hold it."

On a good note though, 17mpg with 2000 miles on it.
