Cubby hole measurements

This may seem like a strange question but, I'm at work (Africa) and I'm making a plate for my cubby (Gauges) hole.

Could one of you gentlemen get me the measurements of the cubby hole (length+width).

See I told you these was a strange request. This will save me from asking the Misses and ending up with the wrong measurements.
