Brake and ABS lights

My brake and ABS lights are on. The brakes seem to work OK. They came on for a few minutes, went off for a few miles then came on steady. I had just completed 400-500 miles of dusty, dirty, rock and gravel roads. I can't see anything wrong under the truck. Is there anything I can check before I take it to the experts?
