Run engine with doors locked while out of truck?

Anyone know how I can get out of my truck and lock the doors with the engine running so I can go into stores, etc? I tried the key fob but it won't lock if running. Short of carrying an extra key I was hoping someone knew if I could set the key fob to allow that. Any help would be appreciated!
