Pros & Cons of leveling front of 03

I would like to know the pros and cons of leveling the front of the 03 3500 SRW 4x4. Is there much change in ride (stiffer, softer, etc). Any change in the front end, as far as realignment needing to be made. What's best to use poly or metal spacers or the 2.5 inch lift gain with the springs like Skyjacker offer. Would the stock shocks have to be replaced. Considering leveling, but if it's going to lead to problems will just leave as is, stock. Thanks for reply!
