Changed my oil for the first time

Just had my oil changed for the first time on my 2004.I used a fleetguard filter & delo 400.I noticed the the oil smell in the cab is twice as bad as before.Question ? Does anyone think it will be less smelly with more miles on it?? Some folks I talked to say it will be less noticeable with more miles on it,just curious coobie

P.S. changed the oil at 2,500 miles
