shutdown delay timer?

Anyone here know if there is such a thing as a shutdown timer, I hate sitting out in the sun waiting for the turbo to cool down before I can go inside and have a cool one too, my brainstorm is that I could turn the ignition switch off, lock the doors and the timer would kill the engine after a couple minutes, with possibly a override button so I could kill the engine immedieately......
crazy idea??
