Help-trailer plug removal

I'm switching bumpers and have to remove the trailer plug. Can anyone tell me how to get the connectors disconnected? I've remove a red, sliding plastic piece and a couple of gray plugs from the back of the connector. It won't budge. I couldn't find anything in the service manual.
