Question 370's going in, should I move the plate back?

Ok, I'm taking the big plunge and doing what I should have done to start with, puting in 370's and delivery valves this weekend. Question is, I'm currently running the #6 plate full forward, will I be too hot this way? Do I need to slide the plate back a bit while I'm there?

Also, I'm dreaming of a modified hx40 but will have to save my pennies. Should I go for a 16cm housing in the meantime or will the hx35 live and the motor not melt if I leave it until I can afford a "40"?
