Engine light on, rpm guage not working.

I've got an 03' SO with a quadzilla 140hp box on it. Yesterday i was taking off from a stop sign and it started cutting out and then the rpm guage quit working and the engine light came on. I unhooked the batteries but nothing. Is this a code that will have to be cleared by the dealer?
