Exhaust questions for '04.5

I have finally decided I want a louder exhaust on my 04.5... I have been thinking that If I went and lost the cat and muffler, and added an Aeroturbine I would have a pretty mean sounding truck... for a third gen.

Is that the best plan? To simply keep my stock 4" exhaust and cut and delete, then add a piece of 4" where the muffler was and install the Aeroturbine where the cat was?

I really am no wild about buying a 600 dollar bolt up exhaust... I already have 4" turbo back so i shouldn't need one of those setups right?

I have been slow with upgrading this truck because I have liked it so much stock, but I am starting to want a little more 2nd gen clatter and a little more pickup...

I was thinking this and an AFE would hold me until I run out of warranty...
