Tranny Temp Question

I got my tranny temp gauge installed this weekend. The sender is located in one of the test ports on the passenger's side. For those that have one installed, what is the tranny temperature response like when you are unloaded?

Once installed, I drove around and at first thought I had screwed something up. Unloaded, the tranny seems like it takes a while to start warming up. After driving for 20 minutes it doesn't get much over 110F. Is this consistent with what others are seeing?
