Oil Filter

I went to my Cummins Dealer to get some oil filters for my 600, 2004.5. They asked for the number off my engine and gave me Fleetguard LF 3972. I did my oil change and searched this site to confirm the accuracy of this filter. I can not find any reference to this being appropriate. Did I get mislead?
