Fuel Pressure

I have most of the posts from the earlier generations of engines and it sounds as if the fuel pressure varies depending on thottle position. I installed a fuel pressure gauge on my truck this weekend and see about 8psi at the bottom banjo on the fuel filter. There is very little if any variance due to fuel usage ~1 psi.

Does this sound normal?
