Battery Temp Sensor

I have a 2004 Dodge 3500 Pickup with the 600 H.O. engine. Its fairly new; only 6 months old and 4200 miles. Last month, the engine check light came on while leaving work. The dealer stated the battery temp sensor was bad and replaced the sensor. Last week the engine check light came back on. I brought the truck back to the dealer. The battery temp sensor is bad. The sensor lasted about 5 weeks. Has anyone had the same preoblem?
