03 Valve adjustment?????

I recently sold my 98.5 and now have an 03. I have the tool kit that Cummins sold to do valve adjustments on the 98.5. Will the kit work on the 03 and at what milage is it recommend to check valve adjustment on the 03? Thanks in advance...
