NV5600, PTO Cover Gaskets & Filter?

Hi,
I have an '03, HO, 4X4, 6-sp and have been thinking about changing the gear oil, in the trans. I believe I read somewhere that PTO cover gaskets (reusable) were available thru the Chevy dealers. Does anyone know this to be true? Are those covers a universal fit, so that a Chevy cover would also fit a Dodge? Would they be available thru NAPA or another store?

I've, also, heard about a filter that mounts inside the right PTO cover & the gear oil gets "slung" into the filter and then drains back into the trans. Are those a good idea, or not? Who makes them & how much?

I appreciate your thoughts & suggestions.
