new cp3 or mod the old one

looking for advice and expierience with my cp3, not sure if i should buy a new one for an 06 cummins, or have my old one with 56000 miles on it worked over, i heard the new cp3 has different internal changes and flows a lot better than the old one, anyone done this or had theres modified.....
