I have 12 qts of Royal Purple on the way from a fellow TDR member and have used Shell Rotella T since I've had the truck. My question is, I'm thinking of switching over to RP for good, but do you guy's think that I can wait to change my oil at 7,500 miles compared to my usual 3 to 3,500 miles I do with Rotella T? I'm just worried about soot contaminating the oil and breaking it down early. I have 98,000 miles on the truck and the oil stayes pretty clear for about 1,000 miles and then it starts to turn dark, but is not bad compared to the 97 power stroke I used to have. I use Fleet Guard Filters and have never had any issues with Rotella, but I just wanted to see what ya'll had to say and see how long you guy's are waiting to change oil.... Thanks
