Baja 1000 2005
I remember around this time last year we got reports that the KORE, Dodge CTD was finishing the 37th Baja 1000, making it the first CTD to ever race and finish the Baja 1000. Not to be outdone, Ford thought it would be a good idea to race a powerchoke this year. Eventhough our guy Ken Kroeker from KORE, drove his CTD to and from the race, the Ford had to be towed to and from the infamous Baja 1000. Last report showed the Donahoe Ford F-250 had broken down at RM400 something, and had about three hundred miles to go. The score unofficial results show that #862 Donahoe Ford had not finished. I guess the Ford couldn't take the abuse that the Dodge CTD withstood, oh yeah if you haven't been following the story in your TDR, Ken's KORE CTD finished 3rd in it's class(stock fullsize), just to get in and drive it home, very impressive.
