code p0191

just a note

very cold in nyc, 18 degrees, got a p0191 code. Thanks to the TDR I found out what it meant. Went to the dealer first thing in the morning (32 degrees now) and they put the computer on it and checked it out. They saw the code and during their check it cleared itself. he ran the check again and no code. The tech took me to the truck and showed me where the sensor was and said it still met specs. They have cert. diesel techs there so I'm a happy camper. He said if it was a hard code that persisted he would have taken action. No problem with that. They treated me with respect during the purchase and have been excellent when i brought it in for service. He said probably something in the fuel set the code momentarily but since it cleared and its within specs no action can be taken. I have never had any water in the fuel so it must have been the cold fuel in the line. I have added additional conditioner to the tank and refilled at a busy station. I took the truck home with no problems.
