Vibrations gone
I had a slight vibration when coming home from CT see food challenge (Death wobble on the way there vibration on the way back ) I thought the vibration was from the DW, after trying to figure out what the problem was looking all over the underside of the truck and knowing it was a U joint problem. I could not move any of the shafts enough for a pin point problem. I was sure it was in the front because of the death wobble.
I took it to the dealer about a month ago and they could not feel it but they wanted to do ball joints and a new clutch for 2 grand . Long story short I took it to the dealer yesterday and they were able to feel the problem and they first thought it was a rotor but I told them it felt more like it was elliptical than a pulse. It turns out that it was a bad rear u joint (pinion). That thing was in real bad shape rusted and really worn down. the truck drives so much better.
