Lower EGTS with new turbo housing?
I've finally decided to go with the TST box on my 2003. I have the Proguard 7 BHAF. My concern is that currently on long sustained grade pulling my 37' 17000lb horse trailer I'm seeing EGT pre-turbo of 1150+. Before I add the box I'd like to lower the EGT's some 150 degrees. I was talking to some guys at the pulls at Gifford last night and they were telling me that the 2004.5 turbo has a larger throat. Is this true? If so will my 2003 Jacob's brake still bolt up to the 2004.5 housing? Were can I find a decent used housing? I talked to the guys at Scheid diesel and wasn't to impressed (at least with the guy I was talking to) he was trying to sell me a superchips programmer for my 03' So when we talked about the turbo housings I wasn't real confident he knew his facts
