when 2 change your oil the first time...

I got an 05 diesel new..At 200 miles I installed an AMSOIL by-pass oil filter...I now have 5400 miles and the book says either 7500 or 15000k miles ..I an on the 15000 driving part...So should I wait or change it sooner.....money is not the issue...waste is...Thanks, Garth
