3rd gear syncro problems
I think the 3rd syncroniser in my truck is gone. After I put the dual disk clutch in about 5000mi ago this gear had always seemed more notchy than the rest. Occasionally it would grind but not a big deal, but now you can't down or upshift unless the rpms match the driveline speed or it grinds until they finally mesh. How big of job am I looking at to put in new syncros. This is still a nv4500 five speed. I have heard about the fifth gear nut but other than that is there anything else i should address when I tear it down?
