New '06 5600 is noisy

Did anyone else out there go into cardiac arrest while operating a cold truck with the 5600? The gear noise in my truck is considerable, in fact, I took it into the dealer to make sure it had fluid in the trans. Fluid levels in trans & transfer case both good but is very noisy when cold. Also, changing gears is not smooth. Feels like it nicks a tooth when going from 2nd to 3rd. The dealer says it will smooth out with a little use. Any others out there with these symptoms?
