amsoil hd diesel oil?

I just bought 4 gallons of amsoil heavy duty 15w40 synthetic today. How often are you guys changing your oil filters and doing a oil anaylysis? I am using the normal fleetguard oil filters. I was thinking about changing the filter every 7500 and doing an analysis at 7500 and 15,000 to see how the oil was doing.
