True Micron Ratings

Some filter manufactures are misleading or mis-representing,manipulating the rating system.Their are filters that are rated for 2 or 3 microns that actually allow more contamination through than the stock filters do.
With the industry standard of 2/20/75 the flow chart below,ZAE-03 has a 3mic rating, that means that the first past will get 50% of 2mic,95% of 3mic, , 98.7% of 4mic 0n the first past,I check with Zinga and the test use was 5psi @ 8 gallons Per-minute.
I check with some of the Manufacture"s that claim 2or3mic ratings and found that they were allowing up to 50% of 10mic or more on the first pass,Not only that but some of the mounts allow 50% bypass, that means 50% totally un-filter fuel on the first pass,The filters in the chart are not to be mounted on in-line systems on internal combustion engines,So we have them mounted on our Auxiliary Tanks. The higher the Pressure and volume makes the filter even less efficiency.at least as horrible the stock filter and setup is 100% of the fuel is filter before injection. So demand a flow chart before purchase.
