Blackstone oil analysis questions...
Just got the results back from Blackstone. Everything looks good. Iron at 30. Silicon at 7. Everything was at or below universal averages. My question is about the silver content. It was at 3. Last two tests showed 3 and 5. Universal avg is ZERO. Where the heck is this silver coming from?
Aluminum was 2
Tin - 1
Lead - 1
Copper - 5 average is 4
Chromium - 1
moly - 41 average 19 - I think this is good...?
Potasium -4 average is 2
antifreeze and water are at 0
fuel less than .5 and insoluables at .5
Blackstones original comments on my first analysis questioned the silver content. They don't even know where it's coming from...? I used Mobil Delvac 15w40 for this sampling. Last one was half and half Mobil Trk/Suv Syn 5w and Delvac 15w....
Any ideas or others with this mystery metal in their oil..?
All in all, my Cummins is doing very well and I'm pleased...
