Add diesel fuel to oil on oil change!

Maybe I'm crazy and I am not sure if it actually helps or not but with every Dodge Cummins diesel I have owned 1993(100,000 miles),2000(160,000 miles) with zero problems and 2006 I add about a quart of diesel fuel to the engine oil just before I change it. With the engine up to full operating temp.,setting in the garage at idle I pour the diesel fuel in and let it idle for a couple of minutes,shut truck off,pull drain plug and let drain for about 30 minutes before installing new filter and oil. It seems to really help clean a lot of extra sludge from the engine and the oil pours out like varisole. Like I said maybe I'm nuts. Maybe I'm doing more harm then good.
