contaminated fuel

My 06 2500 less than a year old and 16k miles started hesitating and would not get to 45mph. This occurred about 150miles after I added 14 gals of fuel to tank. Dealer says it's contaminated fuel. DC won't cover contaminated fuel but my insurance will. Dealer is replacing all fuel components from fuel tank thru injectors (the whole fuel system). Is this problem common? Dealer says the filter can only do so much then the crud gets through. I had no water in fuel light or check engine etc. I changed the filter and when that didn't help.I took it to Dodge dealer. They had two other trucks in there with the same problem. What the heck do I do to keep this from happening again? Other than go to clean looking stations and change the filter when recommended. Do you think its the Ultra Low Sulphur Fuel breaking loose deposits in storage takes etc.?
