What to get my truck for christmas? - '06 making noise!
Got a "new noise" coming from under the hood the last few days on my '06. It's a sort of whiny, slightly grindy noise and seems to be coming from the front of the engine. almost like a power steering pump when it runs low but mine is full. Sounds like an old time hand crank siren. I guess the truck wants something new for christmas and it's trying to let me know. have 47k on the truck and I drive a lot of miles (hauling cars) and this noise is not normal. Not terribly loud but definitely there. I am about to leave on a 3000 mile trip so iI would like to have some idea of what this noise is all about. Noise is rpm related and changes pitch with higher revs. Truck is running fine with no signs of problems but the noise is getting louder.
Anyone had similar noises?
