Silencer & snap ring removal
Over the w/e I tried to remove the silencer ring on the turbo intake. Lets just say that it's all back together now with the ring still in place, me with skinned up hands, and anyone that was in earshot have added to their vocabulary.
As anyone may know, only one end is angled and is in the right position to pry up on. It was a no go. I tried every screw driver I had and some very small dia. center punches. It just snaps right back into place.
Is there a trick to removing the snap ring? Do I need a special tool? Could I drill small holes at each end so as to be able to use snap ring removal pliers?
Advise needed.
Thanks, M.
