something happened during my oil change!
I do all my of own servicing on all vehicles I own, including my '04.5. While putting new engine oil in, I put the oil fill cap up near the junction box. When I moved away fron the fender, I brushed the cap and it fell. I thought it went down the fender apron, and lodged itself on the steering linkage or something since I didn't hear it hit the ground. I went looking all over the area and usually I find things like this pretty quickly, but not this time.
I went and got the flashlight and broadened my search. Sure enough, I found a real nice hiding place! On the left front, there is a tall bracket that serves as the washer resivoir mount. This bracket stands off the fender/ rad support and makes a tall, deep well, just big enough for the oil cap to go down with little room for anything else. I had to make a hook out of a brazing rod to get around it and pull the cap up. It cost me a good 10 minutes.
Just wanted to let you Guys know.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!
