noise when in tow haul

Just the other day I notice that there is a noise in the dash area or at least coming thru the dash area (left side) and can feel the vibration/noise thru the steering wheel and shift lever. It gets worse when the tow/haul is engaged but still there when it is off. traveling about 35-45 mph and at steady RPM. Have not been on freeway to see if it is there at higher speeds. I can actually make it get louder or quieter by turning the tow haul button on or off. ANY IDEAS?
