Ring and Pinion Options for 3Gen???
Hi, All:
I just got an '06 with 3.73's and G56. I'd like to lower RPM's by 400-500 at 70 MPH. Does anyone know if taller ring and pinion gears are available for the diff? I haven't done the math yet to determine what ratio would be optimum, but I'm guessing something like 3.45 or perhaps a little taller even. I thought I'd start by seeing what taller ratios if any are out there. BTW, I am running stock tires. I don't really want to put taller ones on to help me in my quest for lower rev's. I don't want to raise the platform of the truck - it's already hard enough to get into, or increase the height of the sidewalls and affect turning scrub radius or handling. I know under/over drives are an option, but they are pricey and have too many plusses and minuses in my opinion.
Thanks in advance!
