ATS Co-Pilot setup w/ DTT Valve body and Converter ?

I got a 03 305/555 with the 48re, DTT converter and valvebody. Talking to Stephan he is saying that they don't setup their valve bodies for 1st gear lockup, but they set them up for second lockup. ATS is recommending that I use the Co Pilot as I would with a stock valve body, No 1st or 2nd lockup. The DTT Valve body is a full manual valve body as I understand so why couldn't I use it the same as the ATS valve body ? Without the 1st gear lockup ? What settings are you guys using ? Sorry forgot to mention this is being installed with the PacBrake PRXB exhaust brake.
