Problem With Diablo Powerpuck

So, when I bought my truck a few months ago, I bought the super cheap Diablo Powerpuck from Ebay...brand new. I know that you get what you pay for but damn! It has a toggle switch to choose from stock, stage 1, and stage 2. In stock and 2 position, it runs perfect. In stage 1, it bucks and spits like crazy...mostly during lockup and only a little unlocked. That's about all I can say about. It's not even usable in number 1 which is what I want to use. Any insight would be good. Thanks
