Yet Another Silencer Ring Thread 
I put the cool black hose on without taking the SR off. It's been about 13k miles and the noise from the turbo sounded like alternator noise coming through a radio system since the vanes are gone. The frequency was singing around maybe 16khz-20khz+.
This evening, I was working on replacing the fuel filter and cleaning the nano filter so I took a flat-blade screw driver and peeled the seal and the ring out. I wish I had done this 13k ago
