Band Adjustment Question

Can i adjust the front band without adjusting the rear (really did not want to drop the valve body again). I am having a hunt shift problem and the trans is new 2-3k on it. I installed a TransGo kit to help with the shift problem and it shifts nice and firm but every now an then it hunts when i take off. (did all the cable adjustments as well)
