Transmission slipping-cause?

My transmission started slipping last week at around 92,000 miles. It seems to do it under moderate-heavy acceleration around 2,000-2,800 rpms or so. I think once the torque converter locks up, it stops slipping. I'm assuming it's the torque converter, but as the transmission is at it's 30K mile oil change, I'm wondering if the bands just need adjusting (I adjusted at 30k and 60k). Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track? Also, as I'm in Florida, I'm thinking Suncoast is the place for me to go to get the transmission upgraded.

Can anyone recommend what upgrades I should consider. I don't have plans for any mods in the near future, other than maybe a smarty to replace the bully dog. Approximate cost diy vs having installed?
