Single or triple disk?

Hi guys. It is time for a new TC. You can see my truck in my sig. Future plans for truck are some 50 hp injectors, more efficient turbo, Air Dog. Probably a Smarty after the TC as well. That's about it. I do some light towing a few days a week, no more than 4000 lbs. No track racing ever, just some rice burners on the street. Maybe I will sled pull a time or two in the future, just to say I did it and get pictures. Do I want the triple or the single disk? Is one more efficient? Do I get a billet input? What about the flex plate? And what is my mechanic talking about when he says I need to do the bands or whatever cause the top gear is gonna be worn right out of it? Thanks guys and gals.
