Smarty Jr upgrade

Ok, I give.... what is the new upgrade 10-20-08 do ?

I found that is now has a dual added switch for timing and duraration.
Is there any documention for it ? What does the 1 thru 4 timing setting do and which one is higher ( one or four ) ? Same for the duration ? I am so so confused............
