G56 transmission update?

I have a 06 G56 6 sp. In a reg cab with 3.73 gears
Recently in magazine #60 page 48 there is talk about a new overdrive ratio in an updated G56. My G56 has the .79 to 1 overdrive and the new trans has a .74 to 1 overdrive. does anyone know very much about this and could this overdrive gear be installed into my current early production G56? Thanks
