dumping oil and diesel fuel!

left my house to go to a wedding @ 9 am,(out of state)truck ran fine ,when i got up to n.h. my bros said"whats on your tial-gate?".turns out it was oil all over my trucks underside,i mean really soaked,on the spare tire,the bumper,and all the way up my tail-gate .we looked under it and saw the blow by tube "poofing" out oil and small amount of white smoke(at idle).my oil pres gauge read normal,no oil or check gauge light came on either.so we cheked the oil dip stick and it read that the oil was over filled on the stick by 2"-3" inches over the normal mark.?i have 8,000 mi on a full-synthetic oil change,i check it but have not added to it.now i decided to drive it to the reception 15-20 mi away,slow highway speeds keeping a check on the gauges and then i noticed my diesel fuel was leaving very fast on my gauge.i figured out that i was getting 4.4 mpg over 10-15 mi! i pulled of the highway ,filled the tank and had to stop at a dodge dealer to get a rental and leave my truck.any and all thoughts are welcome and thanks for your time-----LA
